The  2nd Annual Meeting of the Ohio Allergy and Immunology Society (OAIS) was held on April 29th, 2023. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to next years event. When those details are available, this site will be updated.  

 

The state of Ohio is rich with practicing allergist/immunologists and we are excited about the opportunity for fellowship, collegiality, and education in our home state!

Qualifications for Membership

 

Active Members. Eligibility for Active membership shall require:

(1) Board Certification by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology or Board Certification from the American Osteopathic Association in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology. Fellowship in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology or the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is desirable but not required.

(2) Persons with special qualifications such as a strong interest in allergy and immunology through academic positions, research or leadership roles consistent with the goals of OAIS and therefore deemed desirable by the Board of Directors and approved by a majority vote of the membership may be considered for active membership

Affiliate Members. Eligibility for Affiliate membership shall require one or more of the following qualifications:
(1) Nurses and other practitioners (LVNs, LPNs, RNs, PAs, APNPs etc.) involved in the practice of Allergy and Immunology under the direct supervision of an Active OAIS member physician.
(2) Technical or administrative personnel who participate in the practice of Allergy and Immunology by research activities or support to an Active OAIS member physician.

Associate Members. Eligibility for Associate membership shall require one or more of the following qualifications:

(1) Physicians in training programs or who have completed training programs approved by the ACGME in allergy and immunology.

(2) Physicians in related fields of practice considered to have special interest in allergy and immunology and positions, practice and/or contributions consistent with the goals of OAIS.

(3) Immunologists, Bacteriologists, Mycologists, medical students, and the like who do not possess a degree of Doctor of Medicine, but have special interest in allergy and immunology and positions, practice and/or contributions consistent with the goals of OAIS.
